Choosing the right roof structure for your shed, patio or carport is an important decision. Bryland Sheds will work closely with you to create a design that meets all your needs.

Gable Roof

A gable roof is a timeless classic that suits almost any build. The symmetrical peak allows for great internal height and natural ventilation, making it the ideal choice for wider structures.

Allows for wider spans
Reduces heat with natural ventilation
Steep pitch capability
Superior shade on carports with infills

Skillion Roof

Skillion roofs are easier and more cost effective to construct, delivering a modern single-slope profile that works across residential and commercial builds. Clean lines, simple drainage and a versatile footprint.

Simpler drainage system
Effective water management
Self-cleaning properties
Cost effective construction

Note: A single skillion is less practical for very wide structures. For wider builds, a gable or double skillion may be the better option.

Double Skillion / Split Skillion

Two opposing skillion roofs combined into one structure. The split skillion allows for more unusual floorplans and layouts without being restricted to a square format, giving you more flexibility in how you use the space.

This configuration is ideal for larger builds where you want the modern aesthetic of a skillion roof but need the span capabilities of a gable. It also provides excellent opportunities for natural ventilation at the ridge gap.
